Alarms & Controls

Here in the high country we encourage all of our customers to have a freeze alarm in their home.

If your furnace or electricity goes out while you are away from your home, cabin, office, or factory during the winter you could be in for serious trouble.

Our intermediate phone alarm (80302;) can save you from a nightmare by alerting you or a neighbor when the temperature inside reaches the point that you have set, from -66 degrees F to 302 degrees F (-55 degrees to 150 degrees C) before damage occurs. Ideal for both consumer (cabins, homes, garages, etc.) and commercial temperature monitoring applications (greenhouses, computer rooms, refrigeration, air conditioning, boiler, etc.).

The alarm automatically dials up to 3 phone numbers (up to 16 digits each)
and transmits your custom voice message identifying location and temperature status, giving you or a neighbor a chance to remedy the problem or at least call the plumber. The alarm keeps dialing (selectable 15-minute or 2-hour call-out interval) and will not reset until you turn it off remotely from any touch tone phone. You can also call in at any time to check the temperature of your property or to
change any of the settings.

Temperature sensor is on a 3' power cord, extend-able to 1000'. Plugs into standard
outlet and phone jack. Unit has battery backup to operate during a power failure (should power fail, unit will also call out to notify of power loss); it will even remind you to change the back-up battery. Programmable from any touch tone phone.
5"x1.5"x5.25"; 2 lbs.

Quick Status Check feature allows you to check the current temperature, power, and battery status within a 15-second phone call. Auxiliary alarm connection allows you to add optional sensors (security, fire alarm, water level, etc.). With the Deluxe unit, you can also remotely switch a relay between two thermostats
and warm up your home or cabin before you arrive.
Deluxe FreezeAlarm FA-D2 can read temperatures in F or C degrees. Includes
power adaptor/transformer, temperature sensor, telephone cord, and instruction
manual. Requires 9-volt lithium battery (not included). 1-year mfg. warranty.

Notes:
If you have an answering machine at the same location as your voice alarm, the answering machine will normally pick up a call before your voice alarm. To gain access to your alarm, set theanswering machine's ring selector at four or less. Call the number and hang up before the answering machine answers. Wait two minutes, call again, and the alarm will pick up your call. If you have an answering machine at your "Call to" location, you can set the voice alarm to hang up before the machine answers to avoid unwanted long distance phone charges when you are not home. You can also set it so that it leaves an alarm message or portion of the message on your machine. The amount of message it leaves depends on the length of your greeting (something you will need to experiment with once you receive your alarm).

If your furnace or electricity goes out while you are away from your home, cabin, or office during the winter you could be in for serious trouble. Our phone alarm can save you from a nightmare by alerting you or a neighbor when the temperature inside falls below 45 degrees F before your pipes freeze. The alarm automatically dials any phone number you specifiy and sounds a warning tone, giving you or a neighbor a chance to remedy the problem or at least call the plumber. The alarm keeps dialing every 3 hours or every 15 minutes (you set the frequency) and will not reset until the temperature rises above 48 degrees F or you turn it off remotely from any touch tone phone. Operates even during a powerfailure and plugs into a standard phone jack. Requires one 9V battery (not included). 6"x3"x1 ". 1 lb.

Notes:
1) At your temperature monitoring location, an answering machine or voice mail
should not be used on the same telephone line as Freeze Alarm. The alarm can not receive calls when sharing a telephone line with an answering machine so you will not be able to turn it off.

2) At your "Call to" location, Freeze Alarm is designed to communicate with you personally to best assist in protecting your property from freeze up. Therefore, it will not leave the alarm tone message on an answering machine. It will keep calling you until you phone back to disable it (or the temperature rises above 45 degrees).

Our Freeze Alarms:  Call you before your pipes freeze!
